Aid rendering

I wouldn't think you have to join in the gun battle , but leaving someone laying on the ground hurt without rendering aid or at least calling 911 is frowned upon.

It's not just that. Let's say sh!t bag walks into a bank ,or any other building, and starts shooting. You shoot him but not before he hits a baby or any other bystanders. Now he's dead you start working on the people shot. The baby dies and 2 out of the 3 adults die. Now you are at trial and they try to take you down because you didn't prioritize the wounded properly. Now What?? Would you have been brought up if you didn't try to save their lives?

There is Law in AZ to protect you if you assist in saving life in this case, "Good Samaritan law". You can not be prosecuted for assisting, even if you do accidental harm.

The most common type of Good Samaritan Law is law that provides someone with immunity from civil liability (a lawsuit) if you go to someone’s aid who is in need of help. The law provides protection even if you are in fact negligent and do something to the person accidentally that causes injury. Here is a typical scenario where a Good Samaritan Law would protect you:

In January 2018 Arizona became the 41st state to adopt a Good Samaritan law which is contained in Arizona Revised Statutes §32-1471

You protected yourself. No law requires you to get involved otherwise.

Agreed, if aid is needed, what choice is there, other than assisting?

You're protected in Az. by the Third Party Clause. Your not limited to just yourself, you can come to the aide of other. If deadly force is used and it's justified you're protected. If you render aide and the person dies the Good Samaritan Law protects you.
