Poor dude made it to 77, now he's in jail. At least one scumbag less, so I guess that's a good thing.

While I am no fan of Commiefornia, the Fox news reporter in the attached clip mentioned that the homeowner was pointing a stolen .357 Colt Python at the female suspect. That is going to cause you some problems with law enforcement, no matter what the other facts of the case may be if that is true.

So it was because the gun was stolen or he was pointing it at the female.

What do you do if an intruder “surrenders?” Are you not allowed to hold them at gunpoint?

I don't know any of the "facts" in this case are true or not. I just listened to the embedded Fox news snippet in the article. The reporter mentioned that the homeowner had a stolen revolver. If that fact is true, it is going to complicate things for said homeowner. If the homeowner happens to be a prohibited possessor with a stolen firearm, it is very unlikely to be viewed as justifiable in the eyes of the legal system under any circumstances. That person is screwed. For the record, I have no idea if the person is a prohibited possessor. I mentioned that as a possibility because the revolver was supposedly stolen. I am not defending Commiefornia. I do think that if the homeowner used a stolen firearm to defend himself he has a problem. And unless you listened to the Fox News snippet you would not be aware of the allegedly stolen status of the revolver.

I know Clyde. I have eyeballed your Python a few times and it is very pretty. I like "shooters" and it is too nice to fit that category.

Yep, it's probably not a shooter, at least not for me. I have about 40 rds of .357, if that, and I'm not going to shoot it again. I have two guns in that status, one is the Python, and the other is an unfired '86 model Yugo SKS, imported from Cherry Ordinance (I checked the serial #). I take it out and look at it every once in a while, but never have taken it out for a proper christening. If I don't sell it, they'll both go to my nephew, and he will get to enjoy it or sell it, I'll be dead so I won't care.

Only "stolen" firearm I was ever involved with came out of a CA PD sale, supposedly. Make of that, and the case of the ice creme wagon out side the property room selling guns as well as sugar, what you will, ...
And let's not forget Sen Lee, selling full auto AK's to the gangs. Yea, it's CA.
