No politician will ever admit the problem is socioeconomic in nature...because facts are now considered racist.

There is no way crime could be due to poverty, single females with no job giving birth to multiple children from multiple sperm sources, children never meeting their father, one or both parents in jail, drug use, gang affiliations, poor or no education, or poor personal choices....NOPE...it's "ghost guns". Yeah...that's the problem.
