I really enjoy 45acp revolvers. I've got a Ruger Large frame Blackhawk Bisley 45 convertible (no moon clips needed) and a 625JM (works with or without the clips). I've owned a 627Pro and didn't like the use of clips with 38/357, 9mm would probably work better. But 45acp on clips just WORKS. Those big fat short cartridges center themselves and plop in easy. I've got over 100 clips I bought cheap so I take care of them at home, I don't fiddle with them at the range. That makes things kinda easy.
I'd say if you want a general purpose "plinker" 9mm revolver, I'd grab a Blackhawk convertible of whatever flavor you like. Crimp jump won't be as big of an issue in such a heavy gun and you won't need to mess with clips. If you want a defensive gun, I like the looks of the Alfa Proj. I think it's being imported by someone or another. It's a neat gun from the Czech Republic.
