I have a bunch of 8mm that I will reload but its has crimped primers, what is the easiest way to get the primer out and clean the pocket up ?

Better make sure they're not Berdan primed first. Most of the military 8mm is. As far as dealing with crimped in primers, they just take a little more effort to punch out. Then I just use a deburring tool to chamfer the primer pocket. Be careful not to go too much though. Just enough so the new primer starts easy. There are numerous tools available to clean the pocket if you want to.

woops, I have a casing that I fondle while I'm at my desk, looked inside and its a Berdan . Now I have to go look at all of them. Well, that might simplify things a little.

There are some boxer out there I found a bunch of canadian 8mm and they are boxer

I had about 100 rounds of Berdan and 50 of Boxer , now I have 50 rounds to reload. I'm not too worried , it was made (the mouser) in 44 and looks new. I guess I don't shoot it much.

buy new brass or good loadable brass ammo, If you really like the gun buy a reloader. All surplus guns are this way. If ammo cheap dont reload. Or buy up cheap loadable brass for later like me then later reload. example 8mm rounds where 3 cents a piece when i started reloading so i didnt reload them

No governments shoots 8mm. all surplus is doubling in price all the time. garbage for 3 cents a round is now gold. find good brass and reload.
