My absolute favorite 1911 is a GI Commander in .45acp. I thought about the .50 conversion kit until I saw the price of ammo. But what a tremendous pistol!

I gave it some thought when it first came out, though in the Glock version to avoid any possibility of ammo mix up as well as the much cheaper buy in.

Only time I regretted having sold my only Glock (G21 in .45ACP) several years before. The interest cooled after a while though and I moved on.

Who the fuccck said anything about an AR!!! Other than you,... all by yourself!!! This ain't your thread , guy,... the wrest of us are answering the OP and HIS QUESTION!!!

Let me get you up to speed, guy,... this thread was started by the OP concerning 50GI in a 1911. Now, unless a 1911 is an AR in your little world, you may want to retreat a tad and take a better look at what really is being discussed here!!

You certainly do live in your own little bubble, guy,.... I guess you don't get out very much!

Put your glasses on. I am the OP. Before you said 45 super. I said I'm thinking about doing it in a ar platform. You said I did went with 45 super instead. Am I missing something here or do you know what you said before?

I normally address my replies to the content of an Original Post, not the author,... the opening question, in this post, is,...

"Any one ever thought about getting a 1911in 50 GI?"

That is what I answered to, with,...

If you are going to change the question (from 1911 to AR) you should have done it by editing your OP and not via a post further down your thread. Most people read the OP of a thread and give a response based on it's content. So just because a reply posts after another, doesn't mean they were addressing the post immediately above it.
