3 Phoenix police officers were shot tonite at 39th Avenue and Pinnacle Peak
I used to live on 39th Avenue and Camino Del Rio(1 street north of PP) back in 1994. I loved it out there.

Sad to hear the commander has died. Glad to hear the others are expected to recover, sad day for the law enforcement community. 😢

+1 it's a shame this happens so often in Phoenix area.

I wonder if they had body cams on and they will release the footage. News said he may not have been killed but he was protecting his fellow (female) officers.

Nope not how it went down . I can't talk about it yet but, everything was going smoothly with the call untill the very end. That's when it went bad.

My gf knew the commander and one of the officers shot and the one responding to try and save the commander.

Horrible and beyond tragic. Why was he involved and had to enter in the house?

When she told me that happened I immediately said "DV call, right?"

I have info but if elk has more would rather he share.

I donated to the families involved as it is least I could do.

All I can say, because they wont tell anyone the real story about why he was there, it's a sad day. He shouldn't have been in that spot at all. I know some officers that know what happened. I can't go into it if it didn't come out to the public already.

Swat got him

 Good. Absolute horseshit for a DV call to escalate like that and lose a life and injure people.

Seen it first hand. Everything was almost done when an officer wanted the last word and set things off. I'm not a cop hater but I did witness one situation that would've been over had someone not tried to give one last command. Mind you, the offenders were at fault but they were complying, sitting on the curb, quiet, and were about to be released from detainment. Then.. well, shit went south.

You know as much as the old me wanted to bash cops. (I have a bit of an axe to grind for those that know me why) but my gf gave me an interesting perspective in that you never know what type of call the officer was on prior to running into you. I forget that they are humans who have to process a TON of negative and bad situations and keep moving forward.

She helped soften my attitude towards them and i'm grateful for that.

Here is the body cam footage. Very interesting. I’m surprised they reveal as much info as they do.
