So much better to tax more instead of doing a better job of managing. How about not having 3 managers for every teacher in a classroom.

Any private business that ran like the board of education would be out of business quick. Good work !

Yep and no one thinks of the negatives
That go along with this. Sure you may not be in that bracket to be taxed but what about the people you work for? Or
stores you shop at? You think that won’t be passed down to the consumers or employees? I swear people now days lack all common sense it’s not even funny

Yeah, we’ll be like California soon and export all high paying jobs.

Just wait till the next election and we have another round of this tax increases for schools bs on the ballot.

Yup. Tax tax tax. I think we always knew it, but it's now been confirmed there are 1.5 million plus morons in this state.

Big question.
What kind of moron does it take to vote for more money out of their own paycheck/grocery bill?

The board of education will become a big giant pig that is never satiated. It will come over and over for more resources pleading for the children and using them as the talisman and less than 1/3 of the money will hit the classroom.

I don't have to imagine it. I seen it!

Privatize education and watch better results and better teacher pay for less money!

When the wife and I were still in NY we made ok money. Not great but combined .. around 200,000 a year.

With cost if living there we had a ford focus and a little house in a grey neighborhood. Between taxes, tolls and just living... 200 grand didn't go as far as you would think. Not a whole lot of extra.

We actually lived better on 65000 here in AZ. That won't last long.

People that can't see the forest but for the trees, that's who. It's not a tax on them... It's a tax on the dirty "rich" people (as if $400k as a married couple is rich). What their narrow minds can't comprehend is that once the tax is passed, it's a slippery slope down the income brackets.

And why should people be punished for being successful? Just doesn't make sense

Who knows. People who don't have the grit, motivation, and/or mental capacity to be successful but somehow think they know better than everyone else.

It's the people who are below the tax bracket who want it.. they think it doesn't affect them.. but they will soon find out, prices will go higher, job cuts, furloughs... morons

I posted this same video in another thread. If you havent seen it .. I dig it because its long and she has a speech pattern that kind of makes my skin crawl but ... listen to the beginning where she talks about her experience in Education.

Not like it was a secret but she is talking with an insider perspective.

I worked for a number of years in Not for Profits ... some weird stuff going on with budget management.

Just remember; a Democracy is 2 wolves and 1 sheep voting on what's for lunch. When the majority is rich, flat taxes will happen. Until that time happens , the wolves will make sure nobody gets rich, except the alfa wolf (Democrat politicians)

If we cared that much about increasing spending everyone should get taxed more.

If we gave two sh*ts about educating children instead of creating yet another government funded workfare program and a means for indoctrination we would be soliciting bids from education companies with a finite contract and renewal based on performance. All the local government would provide is facility and upkeep

Funny stuff .. when I worked in NOt for PRofit there would be 4-5 layers of management for 3 employees ... when I switched after realizing it was a farce and did the same kind of work for a "for Profit" company there was a manager for 50 people. Those 50 people were paid much better.

I know of one not for profit currently in AZ that has some 6 staff members and 5 layers of upper management to manage the 6 staff! To funny. and they want to add another manager!!

Department of education works the same way. The money is there .. its allocated incorrectly.

You'd be amazed. I've argued with people in person and on gun boards for a long, long time telling them that if you tax business, it gets passed on to the consumer. I know this for a fact because I owned my own company for over 20 years and if my costs/taxes increased, so did my prices and I know a number of other business owners who did the same as me.

But they refuse to believe it. They all say the same thing, "no, the businesses will simply be happy with less profit, they won't pass it on to consumers."

These people are nuts.

And I know you know this but

Lets say Mr Business owner is into self flagellation or he legitimately thinks like a socialist and thinks its a great idea for education to get more of his money because the government is so good about spending money wisely.

So off goes his chunk of change because he is "wealthy business man" and should be punished for success.

Then .. not being quite so wealthy he want to add an employee or 2 .. you know a guy or gal who could really use a job .. nope ..

My money is off to fund education and out of my control. The government is much smarter than I yet they create nothing and I created this business.

What if he wants new equipment or a larger facility so he can provide more of what he provides .. nope no money for that .. the government has decided how they should use HIS money.

Just stupid .. and I am the stupid one from the hood!
