I edited the content of this post a bit the more I became insistent on putting some Trijicons on my new 1911.
I Traded into a pistol a while back with the Trijicon HD’s on it, and discovered by accident that they were quite wonderful.
From what I can see on the Internet, it seems as though the Rock Island sight notches are slightly. proprietary, but can be adjusted a little bit to accommodate the Trijicon HD Novak style. Does anybody know of a good smith on the west side that could do something like that?
