I wonder which gun shop in Tempe has it? Can't locate one that matches the seller's name in AZ...

Save some money @ only $90,000 get a Ma deuce, and a short drive to Tempe. Spend the difference on ammo.

Is this the weaponized math I’ve heard so much about?

Hell, an M134 is cheaper than that!

Much cheaper to get an SOT and make one from a parts kit.

Jesus!

And it only takes about 30 minutes to convert one.

How you convert a semi 134 🤣
Sorry I didn't quote this correctly... lol We (a friend was the SOT) converted a M240 when I lived in Reno several years ago.

I have shot 1 of the 11 Mini guns on the roster. When I worked for Knights Armament, we took it out on one of our range days. This was in the early to mid 80's it sold for $50,000 to a company in California for use in movies...

No..here is the correct answer...
$10K less than the M2 and the ammo is 6 rounds to 1 round....and you can pretty much shoot it anywhere.

At one time or another in my life I "carried" each of them as well as the M249. Yes - the M2 was, at the time, considered "man portable" and since I was the big fella I got assigned as the gunner - and got to "carry" the 76lb receiver... Luckily this essentially always meant carrying it from the armory to the Humvee or 5 ton...

The two big wins with the M2 were:
1) More rounds than most through an M2...
2) Less time stuck in the drudgery of cleaning the M-16... :-)

I get where you are coming from... and can't argue against you with "facts..." but for me - there is just something majestic about the M2... and if I could own only an M2 or an M60 - I'd have to side with the M2. I'd take either one over an M249.

Three years ago there was a guy at the Reno gun show selling his 50bmg machine gun for $17,000 I was tempted to buy it but decided I really didn't want to spend that much on ammo. The full autos I have are a lot cheaper to shoot.
