I'm a bit confused. I just mailed mine last week and the address on the application is a post office box. UPS doesn't deliver to post office boxes. What address did you mail your's to?DMeacham wrote: ↑August 16th, 2020, 2:37 pm Followed up with bank for money order, never cashed; DPS never received it. Lo and behold, After phone call to local post office, USPS returns to sender. In the DPS addressed envelope. Reason was, address doesn’t exist. Over 30 days usps had it and did nothing with it. Postage was more than sufficient. Went to UPS, cost an extra $10 and delivered.
My local ups store said this is one of several dozen they’ve seen just like this? Not a conspiracy guy, but same local post office not delivering to DPS???

The pre addressed envelope read as follows:
Arizona Department of Public Safety
Attn: concealed weapons permit unit
2222 W. Encanto Blvd.
Phoenix, AZ 85009

Re: CCW wait time
Mine sat in our office mailbox for a month before someone brought it in thinking I had received mail.
Turns out USPS either doesn't accept outgoing mail from our box, or they looked at it for a month assuming it was addressed to the office. Hopefully there's not an expiration date for the fingerprint cards.

Agree 100%
Postal service is just stellar with fulfilling their commitments.
Side note, emailed CCW people, they’re pretty decent folks and are quick to respond. Should have my card back by end of the week/early next.

Got mine back with notes. Forgot to fill out the MO lol. Pretty quick response from DPS though. Hoping they're as quick the next time around.

Re: CCW wait time
Took 38 days from the time I sent via UPS (not first go around where usps held it for 30 days and RTS).
All in all, no bad. Albeit, still bothers me we have to go through this process.

Re: CCW wait time
This has been my experience on acquiring an AZ permit:
Once I arrived in Arizona I acquired a Real ID AZ Drivers License, once I had the AZ Drivers License I purchased two receivers from a FFL and completed a form 4473 as part of the acquisition. I then completed by firearms training safety course requirement at Diamondback in Tucson on May 11, 2021. Diamondback helped with the completion of the application and fingerprinting as part of the course. I submitted by application by U.S. mail. My permit was approved on May18, 2021 and I received it in my mail a few days later.
I was very happy with the course at Diamondback and would recommend them to anyone who would like to take that course.
