It is a neat idea and I'm almost always glad to see folks try new things, but agree with everyone else that $4k each is just brutal.

Yeah...no.
They're so full of it, their eyes are brown.
The AK is slow to produce? Maybe if you make it by hand. Not true on the machines the Russians use.
Make parts anywhere? Where in the Fook are you gonna get small shop made rifled and chambered barrels?
I suppose the trunions and bolt would be possible in a small shop.
High speed, low drag? Yeah...I call bullsh**.
You use the worst part of the AK, the magazines. They weigh a ton, are bulky and are slow to use but are outstanding in reliability.
Meh. I'll take my Golani instead. I have the adapter for AR magazines.
