Case Lubricant
Hi,
1 - Has anyone used LPS-1 as a case lubricant?
2 - Is Spray Silicon still popular for case lubricant?
3 - What do you consider to be the best NON-MESSY case lubricant?
Thanks,
Marty

Re: Case Lubricant
Hornady One Shot case lube is the only lube I have used for years. Works and I never need to clean it off.

Re: Case Lubricant
I like the Dillon lube. Except for the price, so I make my own now. Use lanolin oil 99% alcohol. Get the red jugs of HEET at walmart for that part.

Re: Case Lubricant
The only time I ever had a stuck case while USING case lube, was with Hornady One Shot. While it needs to be cleaned off, I use Dillon lube. Very effective.

Re: Case Lubricant
Dillon lube is actually made by Berry's Mfg, and it's really easy to make your own. Having it in a full size spray bottle makes really quick work out of a large batch of cases too.

I make my own it's super cheep, Use lanolin oil 99% alcohol 1 to 10 mix if I remember correctly, look up videos on youtube, it is the same thing dillon does and it's cheep.

Re: Case Lubricant
I haven't had any issues with using Hornady One Shot...but it does seem that whenever I hear about a stuck case on a forum, or recently from a friend, they were using Hornady One Shot. Could just be an observation bias, but I think I'm going to switch once my can of One Shot runs dry.
I might try the DIY lanolin/alcohol mixture.

On some gun forums it's affectionately known as Super Glue instead of One Shot.QuietM4 wrote: ↑April 4th, 2021, 9:16 pm I haven't had any issues with using Hornady One Shot...but it does seem that whenever I hear about a stuck case on a forum, or recently from a friend, they were using Hornady One Shot. It looks like it was just used improperly when the cases stuck, but I can't tell for sure.
Re: Case Lubricant
I got a ton of small bottles of the lanolin oil when an old friend passed away, so I figured I would try it, and it works as good as bullet butter or dillons lube, and I don't have to make a trip to dillon.
