How much ammo do I need? I guess that is a threat/situational dependant question. I am going to just start blasting away? Not when I am responsible for every shot that leaves the weapon.

Honestly, I cant say how much ammo I need. I guess as much as a I can comfortably carry depending on how I am dressed and what I am packing for the day. But typically, its a 13+1 round double stack and a 18 round spare mag. Now the trunk of the car is a very different story.....

Well these days bad guys wear body armor and have big guns. That's how you have to treat it, worst case scenario. You don't want to say, I wish I brought my other gun, then it's to late. Carry for the fight of your life. Carry something that moves fast and has some stopping power. Something with some weight. But really, in the end the only people going to engage the bad guy are the ones that train for it. The rest will just take cover. The guns with low round count get you to cover. The ones with high round count allow you to fight on till the threat is neutralized. So do you want to fight or do you want to just move to cover. That's the question that you should ask yourself before you leave the house.

Agreed!

Always have plan to kill everyone of the f***.

It’s easier to scale back then to add to your firepower mid fight.

What kind of idiot does random home invasions in Phoenix? The chances the homeowner is armed is relatively high here. That gang will probably get very badly mauled when they run into a guy with an AR-15.

There has to be more to the story then just them picking some random house.

I don't know, they look pretty young. Would they be organized enough to collect intelligence on a particular house?

A lady I used to work with had a house in Arcadia that was robbed no less than 4 times. The last time she had her bedroom dresser itself stolen, and she had pretty much given up on replacing anything.

Wouldn't need to be some kind of spy ring surveillance type thing. Simply one of them (or a friend of theirs) knew something about the couple that made it a good idea to hit the place. Or someone higher up in gang passed on some info.

Not saying that is what happened, just speculation that they didn't hop the wall into some random backyard they couldn't even see from other side of wall.

I think Steyr weapons are the best sleeper value of the plastic pistol world!

My first one, of many, many years ago, was a joy to hold and the hexagonal sights put me on target from my first shot, to my last. If they had come out with a 45acp I would still have a Steyr, and, a Steyr ONLY!!!

Great Pistol, too bad the tech/designer is a X-Glock affiliate, before breaking off and creating the Steyr,(imsm),... only black mark against Steyr in my opinion.

Does it matter. You got libs on here that think u only need a mag. Then you have people on here that think you need 100 rds. It's what ever you think you need to either take flight or fight with.
