Shotgun Dilemma , What to do
Here's the story.
My wife was going to the store and I ask her to pick me up some 12 gauge shotgun shells.
When she got back with the shells they were for a 20 gauge.
Ammo is not returnable.
Now here is the dilemma.
What do I say to her
A) They won't work in my 12 gauge so now I have to buy a new 20 gauge shotgun.
B) It's OK , I have a 20 gauge shotgun and will just use that.
What are your words of wisdom for a dilemma such as this ?

At least you didn't end up with 45gap. Imagine trying to figure out what to do with that

Re: Shotgun Dilemma , What to do
Do your own ammo shopping in the future.
But seriously, I have a friend that keeps doing this to himself when he goes shopping for shells. Probably has about 1k 20 shells at this point and no gun for them.
Sounds like a great reason to get another gun. I have a single shot HR break action 20 which is really fun to shoot. It has a short barrel, think it is a youth model. Points very quick and it is fun to see the shell eject when you open it. I like having a single shot break action in most shell sizes. To keep it weird I also have a 9mm insert for the 20.

C - Thank her and hint that a 20Ga shotgun would be a great Christmas gift to use the ammo she bought you

Re: Shotgun Dilemma , What to do
I finally watched the video... He forgot to start it off with... "hold my beer and watch this..."
I can understand they want to do some extreme testing and make a name for them selves but... I don't have the words to say how idiotic these guys are...
1. That was a pretty nice gun they destroyed- nice condition, good wood, fine checkering- maybe an off brand but a higher quality one it appears -they could have used an old single shot or beat up Stevens from the 50's.
2. I can't believe they actually suggested putting it on GB to get some $$$ from it... what if, you didn't see the video and saw it on GB and thought it was a great deal- A bulged barrel on a shotgun might not be a deal breaker and will fire fine... if they didn't indicate what was done with it or you didn't notice the internal over-pressure signs, it would be fraud at the very least...
Even so, the idea is out there and now there are others with fewer ethics or morals that could decide it is a good way to dispose of broken guns and make it someone else's problem... or a dim that wants to do intentional harm to gun owners...
A**holes...

Quietly go buy the 12ga you need and pretend it never happened.
