Re: Sig Romeo 5 Review And Torture Test
I have one and had 2 extra so I offed them. I will be avoiding chicom s*** out of principle since the chicomflu has caused worldwide chaos. I did have a chicom red dot on my 22 AR which failed spectacularly during a match. It was replaced but.....These may be better. I just think chinese s*** is just that. Yeah you can save money but you always get what you pay for. I would never use anything chinese on a go to weapon. I understand what you are saying for me it goes beyond i'd rather source used quality s***. YMMV

Re: Sig Romeo 5 Review And Torture Test
There is a massive difference between NcStar chicom junk and Sig's red dots.
Sig has a massive reputation to protect, so they wouldn't put their name on anything that isn't up to their standards.
I have a friend who works for Sig. They tested the red dots for over a year before offering them to the public; they didn't jump into the optics game on a whim.

Re: Sig Romeo 5 Review And Torture Test
They are made by holosun I here. The one I had was a vortex. So all "name brand".
It's cool I get it. Just not for me. But maybe I should of kept them but I got what I had in them so win win

New update: well my eotech went TU so I needed another optic. Went looking around for an aimpoint micro. Ended up getting talked into a Romeo 4. “Assembled in USA”. Not sure what that means. Got the good one. Will report back has some good features

Re: Sig Romeo 5 Review And Torture Test
I have a couple Romeo 5's, no complaints other than made in China. They are durable and they work, but I will be doing my best to avoid made in China in the future. Have had no problems with the Romeo 5.

How does the Vortex CF II red dot compare to this?

Re: Sig Romeo 5 Review And Torture Test
This very video convinced me to buy 3 of these. I have one on a CAR15, one on an AK107F and the other was a gift to a buddy for his Palmetto CAR15 mid-length. They've been awesome and I'm really happy. When I ordered mine in Feb. of 2019, they were on sale for $115,...now they are $150.

Re: Sig Romeo 5 Review And Torture Test
I just put a Romeo 5 on my new PSA 18" upper. I've only shot 90 rounds through it so far, but I'm loving it.

He's just an idiot who is still butt-hurt from getting his ass handed to him in the other optics thread. Then he put me on "ignore" like a pussy. Feel free to quote me so the little snowflake can see this...

Oh, okay, I see. I have seen him get his feelings hurt/offended in other threads recently if someone doesn’t like what he likes. He is a very sensitive hypocrite, from what I have seen.freefly wrote: ↑July 15th, 2020, 6:38 pmRock Hardson wrote: ↑July 15th, 2020, 6:11 pmWhat/who in the fu/ck are you even talking about??????

Re: Sig Romeo 5 Review And Torture Test
Why type of mounting base the the Romeo 5 have? The 3 Vortex Sparks that I have are getting long in the tooth tech wise, but I like that they use the T1 type mount.

Re: Sig Romeo 5 Review And Torture Test
I have 4 of these, 1 on a pcc, 1 on 300blk ar, 1 on a 11.5 556, and another on a 10.5 458socom, never had any issues. I have a 4h that runs solid, I did get a 6t but haven't tested it... very impressed with the sig optics overall.
