Arizona today banned all wildlife killing contests for coyotes, bobcats, foxes and other animals, joining a growing number of states taking action to stop these gruesome events in which participants vie for cash and prizes for killing the most or heaviest animals within a specific time period. Never heard a thing about this! Thanks governor! https://blog.humanesociety.org/2019/09/ ... 19_id10814
This has been in the works for quite awhile. Other states have already banned them and now it looks like our state joined them.
They have had them here every year for a long time. Varment caller clubs get together and see who can kill the most coyotes in a given time.
Then the winner and runner ups get prizes that are donated from ( usually ) local businesses.
