Re: AR 45 UPPER INFO NEEDED
There was a time I thought I just had to have a 45acp carbine. I researched the idea, to death! Only to realize I wasn't going to get much advantage, ballistically, if I did,... so, I didn't.
Then I came across some info on the 45 Super caliber,... same bullet, same case, same chamber. I tried to do it in a pistol, with fair results, but, nothing to get all excited about.
My point?
I think a 45 Super caliber carbine would be very nice, indeed!!!
Just a suggestion,... enjoy!
A great improvement over the 45acp, imo!
Also, FYI,... I forgot to mention,... with 45acp carbine ballistics not meeting my goal,... I went with 300 BLKOUT.

Re: AR 45 UPPER INFO NEEDED
So not exactly what you are asking for but...
I have a MechTech 45acp upper mated to a Charles Daly 1911 lower and it has been flawless for years. Only downside is the 10 rnd mag limit.

I know Young Manufacturing is working on a DI 45 acp ar15 in pistol or rifle.

Re: AR 45 UPPER INFO NEEDED
Hmmm,... it's the same caliber gentlemen,... same bullet, same diameter, same brass length, same chamber measurements,... just loaded for more velocity,... what's the big diff?

Re: AR 45 UPPER INFO NEEDED
I have a DI Macon Armory 45ACP upper. With my Osprey Suppressor it is almost Hollywood quiet.
Rudy over at Macon Armory is very knowledgeable and could set you up easily with a DI or blowback 45 carbine.

I'm running a 5" Olympic upper on a SBR lower with a Form 1 suppressor. It is a lot of fun to shoot.

Re: AR 45 UPPER INFO NEEDED
I built up an Olympic blowback upper on a Cav Arms MKII lower so I could use a bunch of grease gun mags I had.
I then decided to get a dedicated GG mag lower for it and got a CNC lower finished for it. I also took the opportunity to update the upper with a different forearm and optic.
I have been extremely happy with this and it is a ton of fun to shoot. I have had no real issues with it and it has been reliable for me. I shoot mostly cast bullets in it (200 SWC's and 230 FP's) and other than eventually needing cleaning (blowback can get dirty depending on the ammo) it is great.

Re: AR 45 UPPER INFO NEEDED
intel, a little more detail if time allows, length of barrel, buffer weight, ect.
i'm wanting to do a carbine length barrel, so have been reading nightmare tales of getting it "right", so more info is just a lot of help. and the biggy is finding a 16inch barrel in stock somewhere. that doens't cost as much as full built upper.
thanks to all for info
