Re: What are y'all carrying?
I usually have a my 1911 or G21 in a Galco belt holster and/or a 1st gen stainless 44 Bulldog in an IWB holster depending on where I'm going. If I'm going to Phoenix then there's usually an M4 or Rem870 SBS in the truck

You can kinda tell a fellas age by his carry piece.
#1
1911(or any 45ACP). Older, retired, nothing better to do. Time to pack together an extravagant kit to run over to Ace for a box of screws.
#2
ANY other handgun. Yeah, pretty much anybody that isn't in group #1.

For the longest time it was a G30 or G19 in an IWB. Once I got a G48, I don’t think I will ever go back to carrying a double stack. It carries great in a Raven Concealment Perun OWB, but I still usually carry it IWB in a Stealthgear USA Mini.

I'm packing a Smith 351pd now. Light as a feather, 7 shots of 22 magnum, low recoil makes double taps and rapid fire a breeze. I love this little thing. Perfect for an active lifestyle.

Re: What are y'all carrying?
Just moved out to AZ from the great lakes area.... Been spending the winters out here for many years though.... I ride a dual-sport mosickle every morning out in the desert.
I have had very good service with a Shield in 45 ACP with a TS . I keep one snake round in the pipe for warmer weather but I like regular 230g HST type rounds pretty well. I carried a Ruger .44 mag for a long time, then went with the little 9mm Shield when I was able to get a CC license a few years ago and I liked it just fine for a CC pistol. I found I liked the 45 Shield better and have carried this one for 3 years as EDC usually in a Hidden Hybrid IWB . A nice light weight and handy pistol with fairly good short range effectiveness. It works good clean or dirty or wet or whatever and doesn't drop mags and is always in battery and such AND feels nice to shoot and it's quite accurate to boot.
I never thought I'd own a plastic pistol.... but I DO like the Shield in 45 ACP .
