It's only confusing if you don't ask questions.

First and last name, city and state. That is all that is required.

I’ll give Wright another shot. I’m going to be out of town for a bit for work so if they let me leave my stuff, hopefully that should work. But if that doesn’t work out and your buddy works on Saturdays, I may take you up on that referral.

Yesterday I went to an engraver in Tucson and did the deed. I’m glad that I happened to see this topic pop up here. Otherwise I’d have been fat dumb and happy while being the government-desired technical-felon.

Great link, thanks for sharing!

Are these super fast approvals personal or trust? I know no one myself included that’s getting and fast approvals. After getting the “one day” bs I spent a s*** ton to try it out. Form one 4 suppressors. 4 months later nothing. Not sure why I hear all these different stories and I’m even a LEO and have multiple stamps already. Buddies at 6 months. I fell for it

My last eForm 1’s (trust) were very fast. 22 days back in November and more recently 6 days in June.

The “new” system didn’t start until March, so form 4’s started prior to March may not be quick.

I know multiple people who have gotten Form 4 approvals in less than 48 hours.

Trust. I know no one who got them that fast and all after March. Silencerco eform. Won’t fall for that again

Do you mean Silencer Shop? I've used them for both the eForm 1's that came back in a few weeks or days.

Every single person I know with a TS/SCI clearance at some point is not getting forms back quickly; their names are flagged permanently in the NICS system, and the background check must be done by hand, the slow way.

Ha Ha Ha.

To me ATF is still proving they're a bunch of A-Holes, that do what they want.

As grantor, I transferred 4 "pistols" with arm braces into my trust prior to the deadline of 1/1/2022 with a notarized BOS type transfer document. I submitted them on 5/30/2023 for 4 free form1s with a copy of the trust used many times previously and the transfer document. That's over a year ago.

Just checked today, they are still sitting in "submitted" status for over 1 year, but the ATF rules says all I need is the submitted form as my "approved" form 1. They committed to a tax-free form 1 for pistols with braces if registered as SBRs prior to 6/1/2023. Soooooo, Phuck em, I have 43 freebies.

Oh yeah, their rule says no engraving on these is required. NICE...... Phuck em even more

Yeah I mean silencer shop. You mean vetted people that have been in the system decades are on the slow train? That’s total BS. I’d have to agree with the above post on that one…….

My clearance is no longer active (switched jobs), but it's still "in the system" and my recent eForm 1's have come back in 7-10 days. eForm 4's have been coming back as quickly as 2 days, but usually 1 week. Paper forms, on the other hand, are still dragging.

Can we please revive this one? I snagged a SIG P556 a few weeks ago and the folding stock lower on my 556 SWAT Patrol made it a perfect candidate for an SBR. My stamp came back in five days. But I think I need to get it engraved now. Thing is, with these SIGs, the upper is the serialized part. There are no markings on the lowers. Which part do I need to have engraved, and how inconspicuous can it be and still be compliant? I'd really like to not have my trust name very conspicuous, though this is a lifetime keeper gun for me.
