Henry Pump Action 22LR "Carbine"

Post by azdover »

After shooting my brother-in-law's old Winchester pump action 22, I decide I wanted one too. I found a Henry H003T that filled the bill. It originally came with a 20" barrel and 14" LOP. Since I like shorter carbine type rifles, out came the trusty ol' Sawzall. With a little off the front and a little off the back, I now have a 16 1/2" barreled 22 pump action with a 13 1/4" LOP, making it a bit more manageable for the grandkids (and grandpa of course). I also stripped the receiver cover down to bare metal since the black finish was already starting show scratches and chips.

Goes nicely with my Ruger Single Six sporting a Ronnie Wells aluminum Bisley grip frame.

Not sure. I think it's the same exotic alloy they use to make those little Hot Wheels cars - Potmetalranium maybe?
