local ak47/74 gunsmiths

Looking to do a FSB conversion on my saiga 74...called kilo guns already and got a quote and wright armory is getting back to me..Anyone know any other builder/gunsmiths here in the valley that could do that job...

I wouldn’t use Kilo. They did a really bad job on a buddies rifle that ended up w Kilo in court having to pay another smith to unphuck his work.

I would use either:

Appreciate the info, I actually emailed both of them and will probably go with sof defense..is it from my reading on ak files that they were both owners of Lee armory and then recently went separate ways ?

Another recommendation to NOT use Kilo guns.
They did a pin and weld for me and really screwed the pooch.

ill pay the $150-$200 and have the pros do that, ive already done plenty of the rear end conversions on my saigas and saved plenty of money...plus is a tough economy right now and would like to provide a little business for the small guys..

What kind of time frame did they give you for completing the work? I have a Mak 90 I would like to un neuter.

3-4 weeks at SOF defense for my saiga...Mario seems like a nice dude..
