FYI. I hope that the AZCDL will have a booth there. About 5 years ago, there were over 400 new and renewing members signing up for membership. A show of membership, shirts and hats, would really help our cause by letting the out of staters moving here that we exist to support them as gun owners.

Good point. I see David Laird of AzCDL Foundation is listed as a confirmed speaker.

I hope that you can review this newsletter. Here are a couple of the laws the democrapts want to pass. Remember there is only 1 more supporter for the 2nd Amendment in the Senate and the House here in Az.
ARIZONA CITIZENS DEFENSE LEAGUE OPPOSES
HB2221 3 day waiting period - Firearm purchases; waiting period;
Mandates a 3-day waiting period when purchasing a firearm. Designates violation of this law as a Class 6 felony.
A mandatory waiting period is an unnecessary delay in exercising the right to keep and bear arms and, as we know, a right delayed is a right denied. For individuals seeking to purchase a firearm for self-defense, a mandatory waiting period could delay their ability to protect themselves and their families, especially in urgent situations.
HB2222 ALL Firearm transactions go through a FFL
Requires all firearm transfers be conducted through a licensed firearms dealer. Permits the firearms dealer to charge a fee for this service, not to exceed $20. Excludes gunsmiths, family members and antique firearms. Designates violation of this law to be a Class 5 Felony

It was less crowded in the parking lot west of the capital building if you get there late. There is parking at the Wesley Bolin Plaza right in front(east side) of the Capital.

Decent crowd, but not as big as some previous years.
Some of the speakers were pretty good. Some not so great. That rep from Prescott, son of Vietnamese immigrants, is a sharp cookie. Strong, articulate advocate of 2A rights. One of our best assets.
Alan Gottlieb made an appearance. He's another one who has been very effective.
John Correia was there, sporting his Ted Kaczynski disguise. John Birch Society and Sons Of The Confederacy were there; likewise Proud Boys.

This guy was brandishing an assault bunny.
There was an inflatable Jesus there, but He was deflated. But when I came back later, it was a miracle! He is risen! Finally, in what I thought was a nice expression of bipartisanship, they had a statue of President* Biden.
Turns out he says he is going to run for sheriff, then he would arrest all the UN spies and other enemies of the state or something. I don't expect his campaign to get too far.There was an inflatable Jesus there, but He was deflated. But when I came back later, it was a miracle! He is risen! Re: Second Amendment Rally Arizona
We recruited over 40 new members for AZCDL today. With any luck we will get a volunteer crew to start spreading the word about AZCDL at the smaller gun shows soon. If anyone would like to get in free to gun shows by donating time at tables please message me
Thanks
