So you are a Rifleman?
Been working on my Rifleman skills and thought I would share.
If you want to test yourself here is a target:

Instructions on the paper. Post up your scores.

Re: So you are a Rifleman?
Explain, please.
You print that page on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper?
Use the top target for all shooting, and the little ones below are just stage descriptions? Or actual targets?
This is done with a rimfire rifle, right?

Re: So you are a Rifleman?
is this supposed to simulate the military (USMC at least) KD qualification course?
No elevation adjustments needed, which are a large part of KD shooting.

I'm assuming here, not knowledgeable and haven't seen this til now but want to try it. Just have to wait for the desert to open.smithers599 wrote: ↑August 12th, 2023, 7:22 pm Explain, please.

I believe you print on an 8x11 yes. The top target is stage 1, the 2 targets below is stage 2, the 3 below are stage 3 and 4 are stage 4. It tells you how many to put on each target with mag changes and standing to prone positions.

All targets are for shooting.smithers599 wrote: ↑August 12th, 2023, 7:22 pm Explain, please.

10 rounds Standing in 2 minutes - possible 50 points
10 rounds Standing to Seated in 50 seconds with a mag change (load 2 & 8 or if your rifle doesn't allow that load 5 & 5)
5 rounds per target - possible 50 points
10 rounds Standing to Prone in 60 seconds with a mag change (same as above)
3 on first target, 3 on second, and 4 on last - possible 50 points
10 rounds Slowfire Prone in 5 minutes. No mag change necessary
2 on first target, 2 on second, 3 on third, and 3 on last - Double the score on this stage for 100 possible points.
Total clean score would be 250 points.

It is meant to resemble an across the course, course of fire and the differing classes of shooters such as a cmp match. While generally shot on bulls eyes the shillouette targets are used for appleseed shoots a lot

Re: So you are a Rifleman?
The file name "11x17-AQT-Drk (1)" indicates it should be printed on 11X17 which would be normally a "book-bound" style 8.5x11 to be folded.
I don't see a natural center for splitting it into 2 pages so maybe it is meant to be printed on 11x17 and used that way. That would increase the size of all targets.

Re: So you are a Rifleman?
The target is intended to be printed on a 11"x17" piece of paper. Printing it on 8.5"x11" will shrink the targets.

Re: So you are a Rifleman?
Looks similar but not identical. For anyone curious the USMC recently changed their qual course, its a lot more like action shooting now... which is more like combat shooting.
