I doubt any Dem proposals will become law; they'll just beat the issue to death for PR/brainwashing/fundraising.
However, there won't be an "pro-active" laws, either. No national CCW reciprocity. No NFA exemption for suppressors.
We definitely need to get the House back in 2020.

We took a big hit in the Arizona legislature in this last election. Bloomberg is about to spend millions here on a PR campaign to push for "universal background checks" (i.e., registration of all guns). With the current legislative makeup, it will be a close thing.
Democratic state gains may mean tighter gun, looser pot laws
From New York to New Mexico, residents in a number of states can expect a leftward push for expanded health care coverage, gun control, education funding and legalized recreational marijuana as Democrats who gained new or stronger powers in the midterm elections seek to put their stamp on public policy.
While Republicans remain in charge in more states, Democrats nearly doubled the number of places where they will wield a trifecta of power over the governor's office and both chambers of the state legislature. Democrats also broke up several Republican strongholds, forcing GOP lawmakers who have been cutting taxes and curbing union powers to deal with a new reality of a Democratic governor.
All told, Democrats gained seats in 62 of the 99 state legislative chambers, according to data provided by the National Conference of State Legislatures (Nebraska is the lone state with a single legislature). Democrats also added seven new governorships.

Oh, and if you are a person who posts on all these gun boards but didn't vote, f*** you. You are the problem.

Most all rifles, pistols and revolvers are moving very slow. The prices on all being depressed at this time. Can not see any price increases in the near future.

it may just be a flashback but when the gun prices went up in 2007-2008 then again in 2012 so did the ammo prices. Might be worth the price to buy a pallet of .22lr or 5.56 or .308. Anybody know where to buy in this bulk other than UN ammo?
Re: Time to Sell your unwanted guns!!!! Or buy for resell
Good guy to buy from is Jasons ammo if he is still doing it. I buy direct from manufacturers but have been doing it for a long time, they usually want truck loads at the least and rail cars preferred to take your cash money. Some distributors may broker deals for you on large ammo purchases but you may have to wait for their next big order to have your pallet or pallets added to it.
Unammo sometimes has pallets for sale but it usually Wolf 5.56, believe they have 7.62x39 pallets available and I have no idea if he has connections for factory direct ammo from ATK which is what sells like hotcakes especially the M-855 ball ammo.
Don't forget to stock up on those P-mags while they are cheap, they are a easy double your money and up to 10 times your money in the right crisis. $50 anderson lowers will get you $250 in a crisis

Inspiring prediction, 338lapua,... I think I'll hold off on downsizing for six months, or so.

Exactly! No reason not to pick up some Ruger MPRs for under $600 when they go on sale. We are lucky right now, a lot of great quality can be had cheapAZGlock21 wrote: ↑November 11th, 2018, 12:39 pm Go on any gun forum. ARs are sitting there. There are literally thousands for sale. Anyone trying to get new prices or anywhere near will need to plan that it will be sitting for quite a while. There are decent ARs for sale for 500 bucks now everywhere.

Now, if the AK's would come down to reasonable prices, I would buy one.

Why would you sell any guns if you are concerned about harsher anti-2A laws?

Re: Time to Sell your unwanted guns!!!! Or buy for resell
Why???
there is an old saying... "Beware the man with only one gun"....
It's nice to have a bunch of different guns as each has it's own personality... and to some, more is a status symbol ( I once new a guy who had over 800 guns in his 'collection')
If you have several guns, you probably aren't that good with some of them and can sell off a couple to those in need... then buy more ammo or better accessories for the ones you do keep. Then practice a lot to become more proficient with your best keepers.

Re: Time to Sell your unwanted guns!!!! Or buy for resell
I am aware of the old saying and I was indeed a better shot (with those particular weapons) when I only had one rifle and pistol. Yet even now that I have many more, I am fully capable of taking care of business with any of them. I am at the range on a weekly basis keeping my skills sharp and cycling through what I own.
However in a world where replacing your weapons is anticipated to be problematic, the SMART man has MANY guns (enough to share if need be even).
Having lots of weapons as well as lots of ammo is not a mutually exclusive thing.
