You'd think a couple of cops would know not to keep buying guns while under surveilence

A couple of cops from Virginia who were part of the Jan. 6th thing and were under court order to not possess guns,...kept buying guns and ammo anyway. Apparently to replace what was seized from them,...but a heck of a lot, too.

In June, FBI agents executed a search warrant on Robertson’s email and found he purchased 14 guns between April 12 and May 15. On June 29, a similar search warrant found Robertson had 34 guns at Tactical Operations Inc. in Roanoke, waiting to be picked up. Now they claim the number of purchases keeps going up.
A Question of Possession

In addition to the 34 guns at Tactical Operations on June 29, FBI agents were notified that “an additional three firearms were received by [Tactical Operations] between June 29, 2021 and July 1, 2021,” Monday’s filing says. They also found four silencers from the material seized at Robertson’s home. US Attorney Channing Phillips says in the filing that Robertson spent $50,000 between Jan. 20 and July 2 on the 37 guns alone. Also, employees at Tactical Operations “confirmed the defendant possessed the firearms and handled them” during his pretrial release.

Beyond the guns, Phillips also wrote that Robertson purchased a steady supply of ammunition. “From March 2021 through May 2021, on Gunbroker.com, the Defendant purchased over 1,000 armor-piercing rounds,” Phillips wrote. “On a single day in February, he ordered 46 M4 magazines, each capable of holding 30 rounds of ammunition. The following day, he ordered 100 M4 magazines.”

How can a cop afford to spend $50,000 on *anything* in 6 months time?

Stupid question but.. were they relieved of duty after Jan6 or just prohibited from buying personal guns??

A lot of cops I've known think they're above the law and so this was natural for them.

Some cops think they ARE the gun guys......we get the occasional super shooter out at the USPSA practice matches and it usually does not end well, disqualified, ask to leave, that's when the arguments and yelling begin.

Not to disparage the whole group but ... And this is kind of hand on the bible stuff but.. back in the 60's and and right up to Guiliani there was a branch of NYPD called " housing police"

Must have been a sh*t assignment because you were locked in to working the projects throughout NYC.

Housing projects is no where anyone wants to be but I lived there. Well these cops were some of the biggest gangsters in the hood. Wanted to get illegal weapons.. guns, switchblades or to purchase fireworks which were illegal in NY ... Most often you got them from the trunk of a police car.

I have seen it first hand

I’d pay just to watch the show. To heck w the match. 😂🤣😂

I’m guessing it was bought on credit or the man was a terrific “saver”

I’ll leave the crooked cop stuff to the final shakedown…..but he’s a f***ing retard buying all that shit.

How did he get a can that fast?!!

When I had my business I had a lot of guys ask me to do illegal stuff... told them all to pound sand.... most were LEO’s.
Actually had 2 CoM cops tell me ‘ the rules didn’t apply to them’...
I threw them out of my shop and told them to go elsewhere.

I do back the blue... but the assholes do make it hard😂

That's another thing. I've gotten close to a number of cops over the years, and every one of them had too much money. Some had a lot too much, some a little too much.

When in trouble and under the microscope, first rule is to put down the shovel and stop digging the hole you find yourself in....
