This is the result of planted propaganda meant to be distributed exactly as it has, in order to try to foment panic and fear about ever confronting China.

They haven't been able to even take itty bitty Taiwan. And they've been wanting to BADLY for 70 years. They would have to be able to do that first. And even if they did, it would take them at least a decade to quash any insurgency that came after. Only then could China even comprehend attempting this.

But they have bigger problems that that.

China's navy isn't nearly powerful enough. They have almost no ability to project power over such a distance. Also, I'm fairly certain they couldn't move enough troops or supplies, fast enough.

I'm not suggesting that we should ignore the possibility, we should definitely be vigilant. I just don't see it happening, at this particular moment.

Maybe D will get off the road and come back to Az so we can all go deal with the tonks.
