For a minute I was feeling bad about them and how they were being censored and then I see this complete shit written drivvel of an article.

https://nypost.com/2020/11/19/kyle-rittenhouse-bought-ar-15-with-stimulus-check-report/

f*** these pukes too.

All media in this country is garbage. I've seen them (New York Post) write stupid ass gun control articles before but in light of everything going on, you think you would back off from it or wisen up.

Seems like this isn't the case and they deserve what they get.

Funny how they conveniently ignore that the first guy he shot was a convicted pedophile released from a psych ward the day before he died, and the second was actively trying to ambush and kill him as he ran towards police to surrender.

Makes me not really care how the kid got the rifle, he obviously needed it.

No matter what they say, the video's show that he was running away and they attacked him on all accounts, only a stupid liberal will say otherwise. If he didn't have that "fully semi automatic" Assault Rifle, he would have been badly injured or even dead. Funny thing, the idiot who pointed a gun at him is still not in prison...

"I got my $1,200 from the coronavirus Illinois unemployment because I was on furlough from YMCA, and I got my first unemployment check, so I was like, 'Oh, I'll use this to buy it,'" Rittenhouse said in his first jailhouse interview.

He wasn't old enough to purchase the weapon himself. Authorities allege that he had a friend in Kenosha buy the AR-15 and hold it for him in Wisconsin.

What exactly is the problem with the story? It only covers how he came to own the rifle, which by Kyles own words does appear to be a straw purchase.

That's how I read it also. Perhaps I missed something.

He gave money for the purchase which makes it a straw purchase.

but

The connection between stimulus money and the gun is weird. Forgetting the straw purchase for a moment ... what is with the connection to stimulus money?

How many Americans went out and bought Crack, Heroin, the services of Prostitutes or the less interesting purchase of some damn living room furniture?

And ... It didnt say .. here is money to help you get through and to help small businesses make a few bucks (stimulating the economy) but you cant spend it on "this."

That is the part of the story I find a bit weird?

True. It's almost like "you're supposed to spend the stimulus on rent, food and medicine" or something like that.

My neighbor across the street used his and his girlfriend's for some custom paint and wheels and tires.

I just don't get the angle but .. the writing I see and the writing I was taught to do in school a thousand years ago seem very different. If you are going to allude to some nefarious connection .. what is it.

Its like most things regarding the current administration .. throw out a scrap of non edible meat and ... let the less thoughtful draw ridiculous connections.

Yeah, except it was Kyle himself who brought it up saying where he got the money.

The question is it contextual to the story? Well, I would argue the full quote itself is important to the story.

Probably not important to the headline from a newsworthy or fact focused aspect. But headlines are mostly clickbait though. Might as well have been “Kyle used THIS ONE TRICK to get the rifle he used to kill three people”

The click bait part is what I think I am reacting too. I agree with you Joe. How Kyle got the gun is certainly germane to a story about where kyle got the gun and even how it was procured but .. I dont know ..

"Kenosha killer Kyle Rittenhouse bought AR-15 with stimulus check: report "

How is that the story? If its not the story Why is it the headline?

If the headline were "how did Kyle get the gun used in the shootings" and the revelation of where he got the money was PART of the story .. makes sense. I love me some facts and its relevant.

Eh .. maybe I am just getting cranky with age. Maybe I am seeing boogey men when there are none but .. something sounds fishy about connecting the stimulus payouts to the shootings as the "news flash" and I dont know how "where" he got the money changes or enhances the story.

Kyle did not follow the letter of the law when procuring the gun but .. something about that headline screams an ugly connection between the stimulus money and the events.
Again .. I may be reading into it but I just dont think we would have seen a headline that read

"The gun used in the Kenosha shootings was bought with money Kyle got from Grandma Bessie as a xmas present!!!" Film at 11.

Excuse my ignorance, but can a 17yr old even get a stimulus check?

Yes. It would depend if he filed a tax return for the previous year and wasn’t claimed as a dependent.

My son just turned 18 this year, but because I claimed him as a dependent for 2019 he wasn’t eligible for the stimulus check even though he had filed a tax return for 2019 and had lost his job due to the pandemic.

A stimulus check is supposedly distributed to stimulate the economy.
It doesn't matter what it is spent on , as long as it is spent.
Supposedly if everyone went out in their community and spent the money it would stimulate the economy.
As long as you are spending it , be it circle K , fry's , Costco or the local gun store the money is still supposedly stimulating the economy.
There is no law on when and where you can spend it.

It wouldn't even be mentioned if he would have spent it at the local weed house even though it is a federal check and weed is federally illegal.
The article is just liberal trash spreading liberal trash.

They heard a TP shortage is on and are just doing their part.

KKK Rittenhouse

Kenosha Killer Kyle Rittenhouse

That's what I'm talking about.

How someone is automatically labelled a killer when they were actually defending themselves and hasn't been convicted in a court of law?

The court of public opinion spurred on by the legacy media is the exact reason they need to go.

All of that and brandishing a kid as a serial murderer for defending himself. NY Post deserves their fate. I've seen their anti gun drivel before and thought they were getting smarter but apparently that isn't the case.
