This was not the first time colt filed bankruptcy over what they said was because of sales being down on there weapons. Once they complete the contract with the military I'm sure bankruptcy again and then a new version will come out to the civilian market. But they were over priced and in my mind were never really intended for the civilian market anyway. Now in 2019 there are so many other manufacturers that are selling the same thing if not better to the public at better prices. Colt just went back to doing what it wanted to do in the first place, sell to countries not the public. They just made a big show out of it.
