My employer is hinting that to keep my job, they may require me to get the government jab. I won't do this. I have my own reasons, mostly freedom of choice. Oddly, this is the reason I moved to Arizona in the first place. Obviously, guns and shooting play a big part in freedom. I need to find options. I'm already fairly religious. I wonder if I can pursue religious exemption, or are there other options? I'm asking here, because most of you value freedom as much as I do. Thanks in advance.
Brian in Tucson.

If more people and companies would say NO, the .gov would have no choice but to knock it off.

The obvious problem is most people don't want to lose their current jobs and/or pensions, so they're giving in and getting jabbed.

As for answering your questions, I know that right now NY is trying to sort out the exemptions for the 9,000 people that were sent home today. It'll be interesting to see what the outcome is there.

What industry do you work in? It might be worth looking into other jobs.

I think that the religious exemption might be your best bet. I've heard that some employees are honoring them, and others are not. If I were you, I'd start looking into pre-written religious exemption letters online, but I wouldn't copy anyone else's. Use them for the structure and arguments, but write it in your own words.

Here's some good info on religious exemptions from a companies point of view.

I am an automotive service advisor. My company has already stated that all new hires have to be vaccinated, and I'll bet that is happening industry-wide.

Thank you for the tip.

There are a couple pastors who have advertised they are giving written religious exemptions. I'm not sure how that works, but apparently if you get something in writing from an ordained minister it has more legitimacy than your own handwritten note or a note from your mother.
You can find them by googling

Many thanks! What Google search do you think would work best? Vaccine exemption pastors? Opinions needed.

I would get a letter from a pastor and write your own. Cubiclerevolt mentioned that their pastor would sign off for people, so I would PM him for details.

Just so you know, my pastor is willing to sign anything declaring that not taking this vaccine goes against your deeply held religious beliefs. PM for details.

Yes. Someone has already reached out to me before.

What proof are they going to require? It's incredibly easy to print out a covid vaccine card and write info onto it....plenty of examples online of batch numbers, etc. Just print it out on card stock and enter some info. Might be a little tricky to get the front/back to align properly, but a little trial and error should get it done. No real way for them to verify it...so many places didn't require any form of ID to get a free shot, and who says all the info was recorded correctly? Easy to slip through the cracks.

exactly, especially in the business he is in. Its unlikely they will verify anything. Just dont go making it well known you are against to give them reason to look harder or ask questions. If your a new hire you might have to have some documentation for pre employment but I bet a religious exemption would work there as by the time they get to that point they have already gone through the process to hire you and wont want to start over.

In the automotive dealer world they are so hard up for people they are not going to be trying too hard to push you out. Its still hard to come by someone with experience that wants the job, they are struggling pretty hard to find and retain employees and that was before covid.

That is encouraging, thanks.
I do well here, and I know they want me here, but corporate policies are going to be a challenge.

Did some research, and I realize I have a bona fide religious exemption, in that, as a Christian, I am adamantly opposed to abortion, and they used fetal tissue to develop the vaccine, so using the vaccine is more or less giving that my approval, which I do not.

Its a stretch, but I am actually pretty passionate about the subject, which may be in my favor.

Easy to spot that fake. The indent on the “name” should not be aligned w the txt below it. Many examples online. That’s a really easy to spot fake. No I won’t post up a real one. I’m just letting you know that’s an EASY fake to spot. Don’t even need to know how to read to spot it.

Even the top words….those are BOLD on a real card.

No, that is a real card pdf...not a fake. My card looks exactly like that one, and it is a real card. All indents and alignment is identical to the real card in my hand.

I would not go the fake vax card route. It might buy you some time, but then you'll have to get more and more booster shot cards going into the future. I would stand your ground based on your personal beliefs and see where that gets you.

What about to get into a concert? I know some people that want to go to shows, but no jab for them. Would the fake cards be good enough for concert venue checkers?

The just require a negative test within 72 hours of the show.

The venue in question wants to see a card or a negative test. They'd rather avoid getting tested at all.

Thanks for the advice. I think the hammer comes down maybe January one. I want to have all my ducks in a row when this happens, and you guys have been a huge help.

I plan on retiring in a 20 months, so I 'm trying to run out the clock. Wish me luck.

I hear ya. But, I have quite a few shows coming up that I want to see that are at venues that require it. Luckily, it's not ALL of them.
My GF has been test a ton of times. Says it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

Be nice if more artists were like Travis Tritt.
