Hello guys,

I'm a 30 year old mortgage banker, I've decided to make a drastic change in my life and become a police officer in the valley (hopefully tempe or chandler). I was hoping some of the law enforcement community on this forum could give me tips or provide advice.

I am very psychically strong and would says i'm intelligent as well with a strong work ethic. I've always had a great sense of danger or violence before it happens. Are there any members here I could do a ride along with or could speak with me about my change in careers. I've scheduled my written test for tomorrow and am ready for what ever life throws at me. I am willing to die for the safety of the people of Arizona which I've lived in most of my life.

Also If anyone is looking for a good quality employee in another field I would be interested in that as well but being a police officer is my main goal. I have some college courses completed and a mortgage license. I also went to the xinnix mortgage academy graduating with a 97% grade point average.

I am 5'11 and about 182 pounds of muscle, I can run several miles and jump over fences no problem. I do think I would make a great cop but only time will tell..

Thanks for listening to my little bit of info and please don't hesitate to call me.

Zack (480) 390- 9734 and (please text or call and leave a message if I miss your call.)

Thanks to the Arizona Shooting family and everyone stay safe and happy.

Go with Chandler PD, much better than Tempe

And miss out on all the drunk ASU freshman antics?

If ya like doing paperwork and bandaging up idiots then a college town is where it's at. Couldn't pay me enough to deal with ASU retards

I would also think your experience working as an officer would be slightly more pleasurable doing so for a community that appreciates you. Some towns have a higher ratio of libtards vs. conservatives. And while you will run into hate and idiots anywhere, a college town like Tempe is obviously going to have a more liberal demographic than someplace like Chandler or Gilbert with a more family oriented demographic.

have you considered the private sector?

better training, usually better pay, less drama. you dont have the same set of stupidity involved when dealing with the general public.

Try Palo verde nuclear security- probably better pay and more frequent training

The mere fact that the facility is secured with a private company, they are violating the AZ constitution of "hiring an armed body of men".

Have a great, gun carryin', Kenpo day

Well, you're always welcome to a hug from me, might not be the kind you like though :o

Why so violent? And why not say or do things to me in person??

It only took 10 posts for the topic to revert to high school girl bullish!t…not a record, sadly.

Tempe will deal a lot with ASU students, but Tempe is more than just ASU. I think Gilbert/Chandler would be more community centric policing, with a healthy mix of big city problems eg homeless, drugs, etc.

With your financial background, you could focus on financial crimes later in your career. A friend of mine was a detective for Mess PD for 25 years, last part of his career was focused on organized/financial crimes. He retired a few years ago and now works for a major bank as a VP in the money fraud department…makes a very nice living.

Ohh ohh. Red flag laws may flag you as an aggressive violent person. As you seem to be

You know, this is a very good point. Obviously the FBI or IRS or Postal Inspector's Div. would be keen on someone with his background. But if he wished to avoid being forever tarred with the disgusting brush of being a fed,...what LE organization among city, county or state might most need someone with a financial background?

If that’s where his interest is then he should stay in the private sector. Positions doing litigation consulting, expert testimony, forensic investigations, etc will pay way more than any government job ever will.

but but wouldnt have the immunity the gubermint does when theys go wrong. duh
