President-elect Donald Trump and his team are wasting little time in focusing on how to staff a second administration.

Following his landslide victory Tuesday over Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump has been huddling with donors, family members, and advisers at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, the Washington Examiner reported.

Trump and his transition advisers have begun the process of vetting candidates to populate both his Cabinet and broader administration, Politico reported.

Trump's transition is led by his sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick, former Trump Small Business Administration Administrator Linda McMahon, former Democrat Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, and former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Lutnick has been pulling names and resumes from Wall Street titans such as Stephen Schwarzman, Chuck Schwab, and Ross Perot Jr. to help scout for top positions, according to Politico.

With Republicans winning control of the Senate, the president-elect likely will have a fairly smooth path in confirming his Cabinet selections.

The Examiner reported senators already were talking with the campaign about holding hearings once the new Congress is sworn in Jan. 3, nearly 2½ weeks before Trump is inaugurated.

"As soon as possible, the Senate will start holding hearings for the Cabinet and other officials," Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., wrote in a Daily Caller opinion column. "In 2017, we saw unprecedented obstruction by Democrats of President Trump's nominees. This must not happen again."

Either Colion Noir or Mike of MrGunsNGear would be great as heads of the ATF.

Or, better yet, eliminate the ATF altogether and repurpose the employees to a new agency.

Why on earth would you repurpose them anywhere, the've proven to be disloyal to the Constitution for these United States. Best thing would be to put them on trial for violating the rights of citizens.

Have a great, gun carryin', Kenpo day

If there is one thing YouTube personalities are known for, it's their ability to manage large .gov agencies...

Would you like Kim Kardashian to run the Department of Justice? Maybe put Matthew Lesko in charge of the Treasury Department. And we can put Sandra Bullock in charge of NASA...she did a space movie once!

Quite frankly I would rather have one of them instead of the corrupt, entrenched, deep state bureaucrats that we have now.

the projected chief of staff, Susie Wiles, is about as swamp-assy as you can get. And then she helps bring in her cronies to the rest of the staff.

Susie Wiles Is a Lobbyist for Big Pharma. She’s Also a Key Advisor to President Trump. That’s a Problem.

On April 26, former president Donald Trump revisited one of his most controversial pet projects: Operation Warp Speed.

This time, he dragged his political opponent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. into the fray.

“His Views on Vaccines are FAKE, as is everything else about his Candidacy,” wrote the former president about Kennedy in a post on Truth Social.

This ignited significant backlash from Trump’s base, highlighting the extent to which they disagree with him on COVID-19 vaccines.

Operation Warp Speed, which expedited the development and rollout of experimental gene therapy products in response to COVID-19, saw unprecedented profits for Pfizer and Moderna, as noted by senator Bernie Sanders.

Speed came at the cost of compromised clinical trials, with needles entering arms under Emergency Use Authorization with only two months of safety data on the FDA’s books.

As a result, tens of thousands of Americans report suffering vaccine injuries, as even The New York Times is now reporting.

If you are a lobbyist, you have no good intentions to try and change the way things are run in Washington.

List of picks so far.

Who is going to set up and run the internment camps?
Who is going to be in charge of handing out the Handmaid's Tale uniforms to the wimmen?
And what about the Department of Reproductive Monitoring?

The whole Matt Gaetz for Attorney General thing is gonna be fun.

Gaetz has been a thorn-in-Congressional-sides for quite a bit.

Your Morning Show opined that this was a bone throne to Speaker Mike Johnson.
He posited that it's a reward in exchange for Johnson's depth of Trump support.
Gaetz resigned his seat, and there's no way he will withstand Senate scrutiny to
be awarded the post. :|

U.S. Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., described President-elect Trump's choice of Rep. Matt Gaetz to serve as his next attorney general as a "God tier kind of trolling."

Speaking with reporters, Fetterman acknowledged some of Trump's picks were good but stopped short of putting Gaetz in that category.

It's just kind of like a God tier kind of trolling just to trigger a meltdown," he said. "But, really, the Dems' opinions on Gaetz, that's not really what's interesting. The good ones are going to come by my colleagues on the other side, the GOP, on how they can justify voting for that j--- off."
:D

They're already "triggered."

It's starting to make sense.

"Everybody who accused me of sex and drug trafficking -- get out now. The US Marshals will escort you. Move."

THE PICK: Matt Gaetz for Attorney General

THE BEEF: A weaponized DOJ investigation that painted Gaetz as a “sex trafficker”

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) is a far-right disruptor in the U.S. House. He is a pain, but he is also effective in his way. So, as is its wont, the leftist Biden DOJ spent a couple of years smearing the firebrand congressman with vile accusations that its fellow travelers in the dinosaur media amplified throughout the public sphere. Once the man's reputation had been thoroughly sullied, the DOJ dropped the investigation without filing charges.

During the probe, the feds used one of their favorite pressure tactics on the target: dragging his family members into the fray. Their unfounded intimations regarding Gaetz's father, Don Gaetz, inspired a $25 million extortion plot against the elder man. Stephen Alford, 62, eventually pleaded guilty to wire fraud in connection with his fake pardon scheme, but not before the situation led some people to smear even Matt Gaetz's father.

All in all, Gaetz was put through the wringer by these people.

He appeared on Laura Ingraham's show in 2023 to discuss the dropped charges, where he came across as a thoroughly decent person. He also adeptly pointed out the career-ending naughty behavior of his antagonizers.

(And no, I'm not particularly concerned that the Republican-led House was just about to release a report on its own investigation into Gaetz. He went after establishment Republicans harder than he did House leftists, and he made plenty of enemies on both sides of the aisle.)

Our weaponized prosecutorial apparatus — on the national, state, and local levels — is one of the biggest problems with the leftist establishment, and correcting it must take priority. Biden's weaponized DOJ spent two years terrorizing and slandering Gaetz, and you can bet that anyone who has put up with that abuse will go into the top spot at the DOJ loaded for bear.

THE PICK: Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence

THE BEEF: Targeted for surveillance under the "Quiet Skies Program."

Gabbard committed two sins: She exposed Kamala Harris as a lightweight when the two were running in the 2020 Democrat presidential primary; and she rejected the Democrat party in 2022 as "under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are hostile to people of faith & spirituality, demonize the police & protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war." Well, then.

The next thing she knew, the former Democratic U.S. rep from Hawaii, combat veteran, and lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve found herself under federal scrutiny as a possible terrorist. Whistleblowers disclosed that Gabbard had been placed on the TSA's Quiet Skies Program and that among other things, federal air marshals surveilled her when she traveled.

"This is only the information that we know,” Gabbard told Fox News in August. "My real question is, what don't I know?… This is the real pain and stress that's been caused both to me and my family by this whole situation, day and night wondering if and what government institution and agency is monitoring my phone calls, surveilling me in my movement in my travels, knowing that they may be looking for some kind of excuse or derogatory action to come after me."

Gabbard has been unjustly targeted by the politicized intel community; she has been on the receiving end of its persecution and pressure. She knows firsthand what the community is doing wrong, and she is personally highly motivated to fix it. Good.

Gaetz withdraws his name for consideration as the next AG.

Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz withdrew his name Thursday from consideration as attorney general.

Gaetz wrote on X that his confirmation was “unfairly becoming a distraction” to the work of President-elect Donald Trump’s transition.

“There is no time to waste on a needlessly protracted Washington scuffle, thus I’ll be withdrawing my name from consideration to serve as Attorney General,” he wrote. “Trump’s DOJ must be in place and ready on Day 1.”

“I remain fully committed to see that Donald J. Trump is the most successful President in history. I will forever be honored that President Trump nominated me to lead the Department of Justice and I’m certain he will Save America,” Gaetz continued. Gaetz wrote he had “excellent meetings” yesterday with senators and appreciates the “incredible support of many.”
