Here I am, going on 65, back surgery, can't run, can't squat. Still shoot every week in the desert, but I'd like to sharpen my skills.

Too embarrassed to shoot with athletic men running and gunning. Back hurts and cranky sometimes.

Is there anything in Tucson I can get involved in with my limited physical abilities?

I see in your reply you might have been in Hawaii. Raised in Aiea heights myself. No guns in my youth!

another fella and i have been doing a senior shooting thingy up in wickenburg, have a blast, uspca in fact, might look at ranges and see what they have, don't gotta run, but have to move, learn some new skills, have fun. rj

Dang, that's a drive. Hopefully, some old guy will wake up from his afternoon nap in Tucson and chime in.

Lived in Kalama valley for a few years after a new venture moved me.
Retired with Øbowel scuttling the planned NASA moon return. That effectively killed my job and retired, moving to the Big Island.

Split my time now between there and Oro Valley.

Born in Tripler Army Hospital way back in the day. Lived in Aiea Hts and Pearl City for a couple of years as my father was stationed at Camp Smith. I feel you pain as an old fart myself. Knees aren't like they used to be. Ugh.

This is what I started the CCML Saturday Night matches for! If you happen to be in the Phoenix area on the third Saturday of most months, join us! Shooting from ~7ish till 10 PM $15 a head. Handgun, shotgun and rifle.

Get new knees!

haha, at 75 times around the sun, parts ache no matter new or old, i lope rather than trot, lol, learn to shoot and you can stand your ground, just saying, rather take it standing than on my knees, may the old guys rule the day
Rj

Can't help you in Tucson, but in Phoenix, blasternaz is the man to talk to.

Night shoots every month. Not a "match," because nobody is keeping score. He sets up practical stages, and you get to shoot whatever you want -- Unlimited gun to .38 snubby. Practice with what you want to practice with.
