The dangers of a cheap holster [GRAPHIC]

First off I wish this had never got posted on Bookface, unless they have a huge number of pro 2nd A user’s? That holster does not look that worn, inside appears as though it has definitely had a pistol in and out of it a few time’s, like some girls I used to know. I’m inclined to believe the booger hook was in the wrong place at the right time. Ok I’m done obsessing over this!

I holster loaded 1911’s/BHP’s, etc with my thumb under the safety keeping it in the up/on position, with my trigger finger along the frame (usually indexing on the slide stop pin). The holster in question was not what caused the weapon to fire. That was a finger, piece of clothing, or something else, but I can’t see from the pic provided how that holster could’ve flexed enough (if at all), to protrude into the trigger guard and activate the trigger.

I thing ounce his rearend is feeling better if he wants to continue running that rig, maybe a double action/ single action is more of what he should run. Sig, HK,

Had to go back and dig up this thread to post some similar photos of a trigger catch on a leather holster. Enjoy!!

Well, that is a good reminder to always pay attention to your gear and what you're doing.

Holy Phuk! That setup had disaster written all over it, correct me if I’m wrong, don’t think Galco designed that holster for that particular style gun?

So he tried to holster the weapon with a bullet in the chamber and the hammer cocked, and trusted the safeties and shot himself. Just natural selection at work IMO.

I don't agree with this. A lot of people carry cocked and locked. Sadly some don't get the training they need before carrying.I think the guy just was not careful when holstering and had his finger on the trigger. That is the only explanation I can think of for this to happen.
