I'm beginning to see many articles in agricultural circles that this whole winter blast that went so far south and deep as Galveston is expected to have had a rather drastic impact on food production for the coming months. The starkest prediction so far is that 45% of the winter wheat in the plains is now dead. This would mean higher prices for bread and pasta and other such things in the near future. Its not apocalyptic, as we have a lot of food production in this country. But along with everything else going up in cost during this regime,...no one needs another.

If you prep for food shortages, might want to go get a bunch of pasta now.

Good call. The trickle down effect from all this can be significant. We should all take it as a lesson to be prepared.

Anybody notice the price of gas jumped .20 overnight??? It should hit $3.50 by Easter
Thanks, Trump........

Trump....????

A friend in Texas informed us that gas stations are running dry and refineries are shutting down.

I'm seeing stories about people dying from carbon monoxide poisoning, trying to stay warm by using the car heater, the barbecue grill, etc. What is the best way to generate heat for cooking and warmth? Propane camp stove and propane space heater, or do those also risk CO poisoning? Or just build a fire in the middle of the living room?

Check into a hotel for a few days. Crank it up!

Those are safe. I picked up one of these recently - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002G51BZU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I see they're currently sold out, which isn't surprising. Poor bastards.

With the restrictions the new Admin would like to /will put on domestic production .. we should be sure to see the 3.50-$4 a gallon price again .. you know .. for the common American good.

Biden is undoing trying to undo everything that Trump did. Gas/oil production, raise taxes, etc. Gas, food, and cost of everything is gonna rise.

I keep saying it. If you want to know what it will look like in the U.S. in the near future, look at Mexico. The Communist Democraps want to turn us into a third world sh!thole with no middle class, and that includes no gun ownership for the normal population. Only .Gov goons and criminals. Everything they are doing is toward that end. All you have to do is open your eyes to all the policies they are trying to implement. Destroy everyone's middle class jobs and businesses, drive up the cost of living, and bankrupt everyone that isn't in the big club with the elitist scum. We will witness the total destruction of the American dream during the next few years. Half the country voted for it, so they are going to get what they deserve, but take everyone else with them too. Also watch out for hyperinflation of the dollar, that'll be the icing on the cake to destroy everyone's savings that leave it in the fake paper currency they call "money".

Welcome to the biden era. We had 8 years of economic illiteracy with obama. Biden is going to be just as bad or worse. Problems will be exasperated and extended. Solutions will be ignored in favor of making various activist groups happy.

If you haven't seen him, look up Ice Age Farmer on Youtube or BitChute. He's already been talking about the coming food shortages even before this recent crop loss. He's had a lot of interesting info on plant and animal agriculture that I haven't heard anywhere else.

I'm normally not totally heartless (no, really), but I gotta say,...after a year of Covid shortages and schit,...how does ANYBODY not keep at least a case or two of bottled water around now? I mean, I thought everyone finally realized we preppers are actually sane and rational and had some valid points. I realize this weather is very unusual for Texas (as it would be here in the Phoenix area), but it HAS happened before.

I can have sympathy for the burst pipes and the electricity outages and service disruptions of all kinds. But when I read about people having walk 10 miles in search water,...I'm having a hard time having any pity.

You should absolutely not have pity for people that don't make ANY prepping choices. They are the same morons that rely on .gov for everything, including their own safety, vote for libtards, say things like (why do you need a gun, just call the police), and want people like us disarmed. If they die of thirst the first week, it's called natural selection.
