Since Texas used to be their own nation back in the 1800's, part of their "rights" is to secede from the USA when stupid shit happens. Welcome to stupid shit happening...

Don't mess with Texas.

Too many CA pansies there now, they may have moved but are still firmly attached to big govt teat. They know the gravy train will leave the station if Texas secedes

Some argue that Texas is still an independent constitutional republic and against US sovereignty due to how it was brought back into the union after the civil war.
I grew up there, and back in the 60s and 70s they taught more about Texas history than US.

I'm a proud Arizona native, with family here going back to before statehood.

But if Texas actually does it,...I'll scrub the decks on a bloody fishing trawler with a toothbrush if I have to,...I'll be there.

Thats exactly where we've been considering moving.. if mark-ass-bitch Kelly tries to get silly were packing up and headed near DFW.

I have a lot of family in the Red River area up by Wichita Falls, they own sections of land, and have already set aside a 60 acre parcel for the wife and I, very tempting, but damn I’d miss this state.

I recall this noise out of Texas, brings this around every so often.

Yeah, unfortunately. Never seems to get serious. But, things around the nation have gotten more serious, so....

The thing is,...everyone will laugh at the idea, believing it will never happen. And it hasn't yet. They'll keep on laughing,...right up until it does. I don't believe it will be this time around either. But next time,....?

They could just break themselves up into several smaller states I think that's probably more likely to succeed than a full on secession. (Both highly unlikely) Who knows nowadays though. I mean a bunch of shitposting reddit users just trolled the shit out of the stock market to the tune of 70 billion so I guess stranger things have happened.

Most folks in CO just want Denver out of CO. Maybe they could cede it to California since its mostly CA libfags anyways

As born in the formally great state of Wisconsin I can only accept Texas if they git rid of Jerry Jones and the stinking Cowboys.
Then and only then will I accept them as a new country.

*yawn*

Another week, another "texas gonna leave!" headline.

Seriously, how many times does this have to be a rumor before people realize it isn't ever going to happen? It didn't happen the last sixteen thousand three hundred forty nine times, and it isn't going to happen the next sixteen thousand three hundred forty nine times.

It isn't just as easy as saying "F*ck you b*tches, we out." Cause if it was there would be a whole bunch of states that already did it.

I guess the next step should be a catchy tagline for it. The british have "Brexit" so maybe "Texit?"
