The American facility in Sana'a, which housed U.S. embassy staff prior to the suspension of operations there in 2015 is what was stormed and invaded. Apparently there are still locals there whom we employ to maintain the place in case we decide to reoccupy it.
But in all the articles you read about this,...that little nugget of a detail isn't until the 3rd or 4th paragraph. The headlines lead you to believe our Marines got ambushed,...but nothing of the sort occurred.
