She won't last. Nobody wants this job, dealing with j/a journalists every day. The Trump Administration should just do a web broadcast every morning with updates and no one else in the room to ask stupid questions.
Ryan Lizza of Politico asked the question during Tuesday's media briefing.
"What does the White House view, as having by election day, what does the White House view as the number of dead Americans where you can say that you successfully defeated this pandemic?" asked Lizza. "Is there a number?"
"Yeah, you know, every loss of life counts," responded McEnany.
"We say 100,000, but like the president says, one death is something to be mourned. These 100,000 individuals have a face, the president takes this very seriously, it's why he lowered the flag to half-staff for three days to remember these men and women," she continued.
"I think you know, Dr. Birx said it best when she said that in their estimates they had anywhere between 1.5 and 2.2 million people in the U.S. succumbing to the virus if we didn't shut down the economy. The president made the very hard choice of shutting down the economy so we avoided that extraordinary number," McEnany explained.

His mistake was not firing everyone in the beginning and placing his people in there in the first place. Not doing this really bit him in the butt.

I'm glad she finally pulled it together. I watched her first press conference and every 3rd word was umm...it was like nails on the blackboard I had to mute it. I thought to myself, Jesus christ Donald, really?
She's no doubt a sharp, talented woman. She's really settled into the position and her confidence is apparent. She's also disarming while being strong and forceful. Partly due to her gender I assume, and attractiveness, but beyond that, she's really able to be both sharp, and warm at the same time.
It will be interesting to see how long she stays on. This position is definitely a long term career maker for her, but it's a shite job. And while I voted for Trump (and will again) I doubt he's great to work for, especially in a position like this.
