Snuck away for a while to get in some load development.

Usually I have the place to myself, not today, had to share the line w a couple of good natured fellows.

I’d prefer to be alone though.

Hate waiting on other people to go get my target.

Worst part was after the range I still had to finish the workday.

Oh well. See you out there!

I don’t think I’m your guy.

I hate EVERYTHING and EVERYONE that manages PUBLIC land. They can go F off w their nonsense. I’ll just drive further into the desert before I use their facilities.

This was at a private range

Driving further may become out of the question. BLM said this is a testbed for national implementation.

How long before national forest service says, "hey it's easier to outlaw this rather than clean up after the idiots that abuse it", just like BLM did. They also get the excuse, "well we gave you a nice place to shoot, that nobody complains about". By the way, we have already heard the "nobody complains about" the ranges from BLM

I've hatted Ben Avery since G&F took it over and regulated the crap out of it. The new BLM ranges are only good for taking bullets apart and sacrificing your safety while doing it. The only benefit I see to their current setup is long range practice if you want to work at lugging equipment to the shooting line, maybe 60-80 yds uphill.

They will not close the new ranges but they may do some minor improvements. Our only hope is demonstrating how short they fall from what outdoor shooters actually desire. Table Mesa is next on the list, and they did not share the rest of the list for Arizona with us.

I my mind, it's just like motorcycle riding. When the heat is blazing in AZ, you have two choices. Either go earlier or suck it up buttercup!

If you go motorcycle riding or to the range, you'll never be closer to freedom than one of those two activities!
