Spammy looking new accounts

Does anyone have context on some of the new member accounts making random or trolling type comments on old threads to presumably increase post count?

I'm not the post police so I generally just ignore them but they've caught my attention enough that I'm wondering if anyone has any context into what is going on and whether the site admins prefer us to report suspect posts or if current processes are working fine. (I've noticed some of the sus posts disappear, so :clap: to admins.)

The easiest way to catch those accounts is by the city they put in. The automations they use to register are not aware that this is an AZ centric site, so they almost always have some other city not in AZ as a tell.
