Not as targets -- as target backers. Reverse them, and attach your targets to them.

Don't need them as target backers if you're at a range, just use theirs, but yea, those plastic campaign signs make great target backers for desert shooting, very sturdy...then just tape or staple your target to the front of them.

Now, about shooting pictures of 'faces'...I've put up plenty of face targets and never had a single complaint at any range I've used (Avery or Rio)

Pro tip: use them as target backers at an actual shooting range, not where you found them.

Now I paint them white as you can see the off-target bullet holes easier at longer ranges
They last years and once you get a fist sized hole punched in the center there isn't much plastic debris to worry the environmentalists.

Are you sure about Avery?

Humanoid zombie targets and targets with human features are not permitted. Training silhouettes are allowed. Targets are subject to Range Master approval and must be removed if deemed incompatible with the family oriented facility we operate.

i picked up a dozen of this regularly out at the shooting spot, a holes couldn't pick up their trash, shoot steel, no clean up, no residue other than the lead on the ground, hehe,

I've acquired one or two of those that someone carelessly left blocking a sidewalk near new housing developments in my area. Careless fools, a kid could crash his bike into one of those.
They hold up well to hundreds of rounds especially if you move your targets around a bit. Once they are all gutted out, simply wood screw one of those political signs (spoke about) on for fresh backing. You can basically do that forever unless you're such a bad shot you shoot up the structural parts of the frame (hinges, legs). They are mostly good for zeroing or any other time you want to shoot an actual paper target. Otherwise like someone else said steel is the way to go.
I never shoot any place but desert or the most domesticated would be Casa Grande so no worries about Nazi trouble.

The self standing ones are great, just don't shoot birdshot at them.
Experience tells me it bounces right off....And back to your forehead if it ricochets just right, or wrong
