I have learned to live with them. They keep the rodent population under control. I just put them in a bucket and relocate them to another spot. We have a Bull Snake burrowing on our acre that we leave alone because they keep the rattlers away.

I've only HAD to kill 1 rattler in 21 years out here.

Thank you. We do the same thing at our place. Even with horses around we have learned the snakes play their part and if you leave them alone they don’t bother anyone. The horses don’t seem to mind the occasional snake as long as they don’t get into the barn.

Most snakes you see ARE harmless This one lives in my yard but is very seldom seen.
Easy to tell he is harmless.



This one got killed because a neighbor could not tell the difference.
