Anyone ever have or shoot one or has third person impressions? I will admit.. I am turning into a sig fanboy and I am one of those who hates fanboy'ism in all it's forms but....

So just thinking about one in 40s&w to add to the fam if I found one at a decent deal.

Any and all thoughts appreciated

Of all the double/single action pistols out there, it is one of them. And, it has a plastic frame!

If it sparks joy, buy it.

Get a P226 Legion SAO and be much happier. The 2022 is basically Sig's first attempt at making a polymer framed P226. If you don't have big hands, I would avoid it...frame is a bit chunky. They shoot well, but are a little unbalanced/top heavy compared to a P226, since a lot of the frame weight is missing...the only counterbalance is the magazine, which gets lighter with each pull of the trigger.

The P226 Legion SAO is one of my favorite handguns of all time. It's like a Sig P226 made love to a 1911...perfection.

I don't know for what purpose you're looking at a 2022, but personally, I'm not a big fan of DA/SA for carrying.

I haven't even shot the 2022, but I have to agree with QuietM4. I have the P226 Elite SAO, and it is glorious. It just feels perfect.

I kind of wanted to have a poly version gun but honestly have a bit of trouble loving just about every striker I have ever owned. Liked some more than others but if I were to narrowly cast myself I would say I was a revolver guy so DA is right in my wheel house. Love me some 1911 but the in between kind of weirdness of strikers leaves me flat.

The gun I shoot fastest and most accurately is a 3" GP100. I have even been giving some serious thought to converting my 229 to DAO. I had a gen 3 S&W in 45 in DAO and loved that gun.

I cant swear but I think my first ever semi auto was a Ruger p89. Had a little 380 in a past life but cant talk about it and it only worked sometimes.

Problem is there arent a lot of poly guns in DA/SA 40S&W and while I shot my 229 and 226 well .. they are kind of nice to be tossing in the mud when I go kayaking and such but maybe I have to get over it and call it a tool and not worry about getting my 229 some love marks.
