The Supreme Court is allowing families of Sandy Hook victims to proceed with a lawsuit against a gun manufacturer.

Gunman Adam Lanza opened fire at Sandy Hook elementary school with a Bushmaster AR-15 style rifle, killing 20 first-graders and six educators on December 14, 2012.

A survivor and relatives of nine victims filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Remington Arms in 2015, saying the gun manufacturer should have never sold such a dangerous weapon to the public, and alleges the company targeted younger, at-risk males in marketing and product placement in video games.

“The decision will have immediate and severe consequence exposing the firearms industry to costly and burdensome litigation,” said Remington representative in its petition to Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court order does not mean Remington or other gun manufacturers will face any immediate liability, but it sets up potential court battles over the gun industry’s responsibility for the Sandy Hook massacre and potentially open the door to other suits in relation to other mass shootings or murders.

shiat its all about lawyers supporting lawyers, it allows a suit to happen, lawyers make gaggles of money, court slaps it down later, due to........................your guess is as good as mine. Its about money, not just for the victims but for the land sharks.

you guessed it, not a fan of lawyers, they make a joke out of the justice system

What's next...sue the auto manufacturer because the drunk driver used it to drive into a crowd?

YES... what applies to one, applies to ALL..
If this goes thru then conservatives need to use it as an example to sue the pants off all other types of businesses until TPTB see that manufacturers shouldn't be held responsible for the actions of others...

Sue Dr.'s & hospitals for negligence
Sue Food manufacturers & Grocery Stores for choking deaths food sales
Sue Shoe manufactures when someone kicks your a** with their product...
Then sue the lawyers for prosecuting stupid ideas.
let the ridiculous roll

As Harrier inferred,...In a just judicial system, equal justice for all should be the rule. But, this has absolutely nothing to do with justice,... this is just another One World financed Deep State Coup tactic to weaken the supply chain of the self defense tools they wish to confiscate,... period.

Maybe trump will save the day.

Seriously all the SC did is refuse to hear a case that hadn't gone thru any lower courts yet. They gave no reason. I suspect the chief justice wants to keep the court from deciding political issues.

The sky may be falling but not quite yet. It may take a decade till it gets there. Fed law is clear and this is a liability thru the way they were advertising case. Not product liability. It's a very narrow back door I suspect gets them nowhere in the end.

That said this will tide us over till the sky actually does fall.

Listen to this if you don't think it's a "big deal". It is. The Supreme Court opened the door to gun manufacturers being financially hassled to death until they are put out of business. This is the goal of all the gun grabbers, and they've found a way. Why the SC allowed this is beyond comprehension.

All part of the 2019 full employment act for lawyers which is most evident in washington as of late.

SCOTUS didn't rule on this issue, they merely declined to listen to Remington's Appeal, which lets a lesser court's decision stand.

Huge difference.

Exactly, which means this can wind up in front of SCOTUS, once again.

If I recall correctly, that wasn't Adam's gun. It was his mother's, who he killed to get ahold of. I hope you're all paying attention. The courts will not save us. They are just as ready for the socialist utopia progressives promise as they know they're going to have a seat at the table if they help.
