Allow teachers to carry their personal weapons? Allow parents and other visitors to carry their personal weapons? God forbid! They are not highly trained, like police officers. Leave it to the professionals! They will protect your children.

School officer fired after filming nude video of herself in elementary school bathroom, police say

I certainly can't tell that is a trained professional in that video. I would have to see the unblurred version to make a good judgement call.

[glow=red]If the conversation changes back to school and the issues of unprepared SROs I'll move this back to firearms. For now if the discussion is going to be the video itself, it stays in off topic GD.[/glow]

This day and age I would send my kids to a school that allowed teachers and faculty to carry at school, let’s face it, the amount of liberals manning the school system these days only a small percentage of schools will even implement this.

Just curious. Did you actually clink on the link in the OP?

I have heard that the people assigned to be SROs are the sad sacks, the losers, the screwups, the ones who are hopeless at the job of "real" policing, so they park them at a school to keep them out of the way. Or as a punishment. Or cops nearing retirement who want a do-nothing job to finish out their time to fully vest in the pension.

Anybody know for a fact whether that is truth or urban myth?

Makes sense to me. Just like in the Marines we sent all our screw ups to fill quotas for the gym, BEQ manager, etc.

This makes sense, that guy in Parkland school wasn't chasing down anyone and he was as useless as a aswhole on a elbow. Actually a aswhole on a elbow is very useful compared to that guy.

Flash, I don’t see a problem with female officers doing nude vids of themselves in an elementary school bathroom, other than the fact she was unarmed while doing so.

She was running out of places to keep the gun I guess.

I have worked with both the department’s dregs and some of their finest. Our SROs were mostly great officers and I looked forward to any time they spent in my classrooms.
There was one lady... I told her that if ever there was a major issue on campus I intended to take her sidearm and deal with it myself. I wouldn’t have trusted her to hit the carpet with a handgun.

Aren't you guys missing something. Aren't the majority of teachers, not all but most Democrats. So let me get this strait. They don't want teachers to have guns. That would make sense
The teachers are fighting not to have to carry something they hate. If they hate them they sure would not be inclined to practice which means, I don't want them to have guns. Now having 21 jump street in my schools. Ok

Yep, police officers will take good care of the children.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Cleveland police officer tried to kidnap a 12-year-old girl waiting for her school bus and urinated on her while he filmed the interaction, prosecutors said.
