Seeing quite a bit of ammo quite a few places now. Problem is, they're all charging pandemic prices.

If you look at it from a non-reloader point of view, $.50 a round is still a lot cheaper than buying regular factory ammo. I don't mind paying $.50 a round to shoot paper as opposed to the alternative. Depends on which side of the reloading bench your sitting I suppose.

If you are paying fiddy cents per 9mm you need to update that username.

maybe it's just me but I refuse to pay .50 a round for 9mm.
What would you pay? I'm asking because I started this bad habit of firearms a year ago, so I've only seen 9mm from .50 on up. I keeping reading .50/rnd is crazy so I'd like to get an idea of what is in the realm of acceptable.

More like $6 or $7.00 for a box of 50 factory loads.
What year would that of been? I didn't start shooting again till 2012, I've seen it as low as $8.00 a box buying bulk but never $6.00.

whew .. I havent shot 9mm in a while but when I was running into walmart on the way to the range years back it was always around $10 a box avg +tax.

Not sure where $6-7 came from but I am pretty sure I dont remember it ever being that low unless you were buying case lots.

hudsguns ... Dont sweat what it USED to be or what it might be in the future. Buy what you can when you can and go shoot. Reality is in the present.

I think when it's less than .50/rnd I'm doing good so I buy, then the house CFO (aka lady of the house) added up the total for ammo last month seems I exceeded the allocated budget :naughty:

Lol ... Yea that can happen!!

I have been shooting with a friend about once a week over the last 5-6 weeks. I reload so my costs aren't TO deadly but I still stick to about 50-60 rds a visit.

Enough for fun, good practice but I keep cost in check
