I still think I will wake up to trump as president but with almost a clean sweep by the Dems in AZ I wonder how long we will be able to buy and sell amongst ourselves.

So yes ... Prices locally may go up. Just sucks

What do you mean?

If you ever followed some of the Arizona Boards outside of gun boards you would find that a bunch of recent transplants are quite offended by the AZ gun culture.

I used to read a few always looking for new places to explore and yup .. people freaking out about seeing guns or "lax" gun control laws after they move here .. because .. reading about the place your moving to BEFORE you move is hard work when you are busy making cat ears on pictures of yourself to post on the internet.

There have even been posts looking to change those laws and freedoms.

With the dems almost in full control in AZ and outside pots of money available .. well things can and probably will change on a local level. The people I worked with when I first came out here would have loved nothing more than for old AZ and its gun laws to go away and that was 16 years ago.

Look .... I have no issues with people smoking pot and I have said so before but

AZ just voted for
pot for all and higher taxes .. never would have thought I would see it and yet .. there it is.

So .. forcing us to buy through FFL transfer only isnt a reach, waiting periods isnt a reach and a return to mandated CCW in order to carry is not a reach.

It's simple economics on price increases. Less guns available, sales required to be funneled through dealers with limits put on sales, ammo dolled out by the eyedropper not the case (we are spoiled with that on this site).
Demand is still there, maybe increased. The price goes up and it does so dramatically because of panic.

well the black market will then became a good friends only option...
so, does the price go up because it's under the table without records or does the price go down cuz you want to unload it fast and don't want mommy to know?

Back 20 years ago a new Ruger P89 out of the trunk ran about $650.... friends price!

Box of ammo could be $50 for target ammo but it was hard to find anything recent. Seemed most of the ammo available was in dingy beat up boxes as if they were scrounged from someones closet 50 years earlier.

Banged up, you hoped it would function 38's around $350-400 easy and I might have known someone who picked up a new 66 and it was $800.

I remember a 380 that was a piece of beat up shit and it was $600 but it did come with a loaded mag which I think held 7 rounds. That is going back about 20 years

There... I fixed it for ya...

LOL .. Pretty sure its to include anywhere where they are deemed illegal to own because its citizenry cant be trusted and the big G knows best.

Back in the day there were 2500 murders a year in NYC. Just because guns were illegal didnt mean honest working folk werent going to try and protect themselves and well .. they paid what it cost to live there.

You might be surprised where you could find things if you knew where to look but .. it wasnt going to be cheap!

America may see it nationwide one day .. but I will be dead by then

Already seen plan jane Glocks going $1000 and a case of 9mm going $1000 and that is for sale in places where its legal!!
