I just bought a used S&W M&P .45 Compact. I really like it. I like everything about it -- except for one thing.
It's really hard to load the 8th (last) round into the magazine, and once loaded, it is quite difficult to insert it into the magazine well; it takes a mighty whack or two. That concerns me particularly for speed reloads.
I have two 8-round magazines, both of which have the same problem. The 10-rounder and 13-rounder that came with the gun are both easy to load, and easy to insert.
If you have a M&P .45 Compact, do you have the same problem loading to full capacity and inserting into the mag well? Is there a fix? Cut half a coil off the magazine spring? Remove material from the inside of the magazine base?
