Anyone have any positive/negative experiences with this particular brand? Looks like a lot of their AR's have the Wylde chambering.

They tried to sell out Illinois gun owners along with Springfield, even going as far to delete all their social media due to the massive hate filled responses from people.

I have a LAR-15 and a LAR-9. Both are excellent rifles. After there political shenanigans I wouldn't buy from them now.

Same here. I also have 2 early LAR 15's. Excellent carbines but wont buy anymore RR AR's.

Used to be ok with them wouldn't go out my way looking for their products. Did like their 2 stage trigger. But now days so much better quality products out there and better prices. Shop around and research

I have an older Elite Operator. Nice rifle, never any problems. Didn't know about their shenanigans until just now. That's unfortunate to hear.

Referring to whatever political cavings they did that were referenced earlier in the thread.

I understand what shunanugins means. I just want to know what they said and where I can find the article on it.

I have an Rock River Arms LAR-9 that I bought back around 2009. It's been an excellent AR 9 MM carbine. I chose it over the Colt because Rock River machines their 9 MM lowers as a dedicated 9 MM. Where as Colt presses in a block in the magwell. I'm not interested in ever changing it over, so the LAR-9 was the logical choice. It accepts and feeds 32 round magazines from Colt, Metalform, and even the cheap plastic models from Pro Mag run without a hitch.

I fitted mine with a Vltor E-Mod stock, Ergo Tactical Grip, (not shown), and a 4-Rail forend from Midwest Industries. If you get one, regardless of the make, be sure to purchase an UpLula magazine loader, or else you'll break your fingers and thumbs trying to load the 32 round mags.

In 2005/2006 I owned one of their CAR4 uppers. I believe that’s what it was called back then. Purchased from ADCO for $405 shipped. It was good quality and accurate.

In 2010 I helped a friend purchase a used Entry Tactical (M4 with heavy barrel under handguards) from a guy walking around the SAR show for $800. Again, it was good quality and very accurate. I shot it multiple times and was always impressed.

The only thing that I never quite liked was by default they didn’t have chrome lined barrels. That was always an up-charge.

If I was going to buy an AR right now, I’d look for a Colt 6920 for around the $1200 mark. Most RRA aren’t much less. Especially now.

My friend has a rock river and it functions great but keep in mind their products are not milspec so parts swaps are iffy

Springfield at least fully explained themselves, a lot of which made actual sense, fired that lobbyist, said sorry, and it was good enough for me. Their 1911's are very good. I don't know if RRA made things right or stayed hiding in the shadows but I do know that they do make decent AR15's and AR parts.

I'm the same way with a lot of these gun companies that have done foolish things in the past. I don't hold grudges. For example, many guys still continue to badmouth Ruger for Bill Ruger's statements about how, "No one needs a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds."

That was decades ago. Today Bill Ruger is nothing but history. And Ruger will be more than happy to sell you 30 round magazines for their Mini 14 models. But there is no one left in management in that company anymore with the last name Ruger. So to keep grinding on that rusty axe is just foolish.

The same with Smith & Wesson, and the old, "Clinton deal" they had with Ed Schultz. Back when Tompkins PLC owned S&W. Since the Safe-T-Hammer takeover, all of the Clinton agreements have been torn up. Smith & Wesson is simply not the same company any longer. And it's senseless to make the current management do time, for what they had no part of in the first place. Yet you still have guys who won't buy a Smith & Wesson firearm because of it. That's just plain dumb.
