I hope I'm wrong but on the Outdoor channel website it appears that they are just re-running the old series. There was talk when the series was finished on Netflix that the they were going to do one or more feature length films using the original characters but it appears that went nowhere.
Kind of sad as the TV series was work watching unlike most of the garbage on TV these days. While it wasn't the greatest writing or plot lines (the books are a lot better) it was still good TV. The only reason it was dropped from A&E before it was rescued by Netflix was because it was oriented too much toward mature audiences. Apparently the younger crowd is more oriented toward TV series featuring LGBTQ agendas and other social issues or comic book characters, vampires and other science fiction.
